Remove bandage after approximately two hours. Wash tattoo gently with antibacterial soap and water. Rinse thoroughly, and lightly pat dry with a clean towel. Do not re-bandage. With clean hands apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment, such as Bacitracin. Use ointment for the first or two day, then use a mild (non-scented) lotion for the rest of the healing process. Avoid over lubricating your tattoo, but don’t allow it to get too dry.
For Best Results
Keep your new tattoo out of direct sunlight during healing. Do not use alcohol or peroxide. Don’t pick or scratch, even if it itches! Do not go swimming or soak in water for two weeks.
Keep Them Looking Great
Always applying sunscreen when your tattoo is exposed to the sun or tanning bed (after it is healed) will help to keep your tattoo looking its very best.
